If you download on bitlord like a dvd or something why does it take so long to download even though my laptop is practically sitting on the router??? like 1 thing says 11 hours i know this isnt acurate but it takes a while any ideas to speed the download up?

A lot of ISP's are actively throttling bittorrent traffic. Also depends on how many seeders and leechers there is, the more there are the faster you'll get it. This is very dependent on the upload speed of the seeders and leechers too. If they throttle their upload, you'll get it slower anyway.
Try downloading at off peak times, usually between 11pm and 8am.

Reply:Bit Lord and other peer to peer software needs other people to speed up downloading the more seeders the better your speed depends on how much upload your seeders and peers allow gives you. Personally I use Flashget but It is still depends on how much bandwidth your peers gives you
