Download Help?? :S?

It's a very long story and I'd really appreciate it if you could help.


Okay ill start at the begining.


A few weeks ago for some reason my Adobe Flash 9 and Active X got deleted. Im not sure how.


Anyway i tried to re-download them but nothing happens. When i try to download Adobe Flash theres meant to be an image to show that its downloading but it doesnt appear.


I tried again and a pop up came up, like when you usually download something. But it stays at 0%.





If anyone knwows why i cant download Active X or Flash pleeeeease help. It means i cant listen to music or watch youtube videos. I will be very grateful if anyone could help.

Lets try the easy fix 1st:





Open Internet Explorer, select Tools, Internet Options, Advanced Tab, scroll down to Security settings. Make sure there are check marks in these 2 entries:





Allow active content to run in files on My Computer


Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid





Select Apply or OK and reboot your browser.





Please place in additional details if the above steps worked. The next 2 options are not as pretty, one is a BIOS flash, the other is a Operating System repair using your Vista CD.

What operating system are you using? Are you the Administrator or a user? Are you using Internet Explorer 7?





Active X is from Microsoft, try going to the Windows Update website and select "custom" updates when prompted.
